BANDITONE

Banditone is an austere and introverted wine, which takes some time to get to know as its deep essence slowly opens up sip after sip.

Appellation: Orcia Doc

Variety: 90% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot-Colorino

Vine training system: Gobelet

Altitude: 550 m.s.l.

Vinification: after pressing and destemming, fermentation starts in steel tanks; the whole maceration on skins process lasts 20 days during which daily punch-down and pump-over are carried out.

Ageing: at least 12 months in small-medium size French and Slavonian oak barrels and at least 6 months of bottle ageing.

Winemaker’s note: My tie with Banditone is really strong because it is the first wine that I produced, it’s the wine I identify with most. On the nose its complexity varies from notes of ripe red fruits to notes of spices and a light toasty hint. The balsamic note brings to mind the smell of the spontaneous herbs that grow in my vineyard like wild sage and mint. On the palate the impact of tannins is powerful but its freshness makes it very drinkable, a feature that I always try to seek in my wines.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
